2002 BMW R 1150 RT

It's in excellent condition and has the factory expandable BMW bags. New front tire with ZERO miles on it. It has heated grips. It's all stock except for a Remus exhaust, visor wind deflector, and an SW Motech tank bag. These bags are pricey and very practical. They're one pull quick release system attaches to a DC power mount. When it's mounted it provides DC power for accessories or for trickle charging while at home. Bob's BMW went over the whole bike and it was mechanically sound. They only had a couple suggestions. I bit the bullet and paid for them to replace the front tire since I can't do that on my own. They also suggested new plugs and a new coil wire but wanted an incredibly high amount for just plugs and a plug wire so that's something that could be done at a fraction of their cost. I have that documentation for the buyer.

2002 BMW 1200K RS at a steal. Gotta sell it, not really riding it. Bike comes with hard side cases (not shown), new heated grips, new battery purchased last summer, new brakes put on last summer, seat carrying case. Bike has a little over 23,600 miles on it and clean title. Bike was taken to shop last summer for routine readiness for riding and to get brake sensor light off. My mistake was I didn't take it to a BMW shop and brake sensor light is still on and bike over heats. For that reason alone bike has been super reduced because I don't have time to take it to BMW shop. So bike sold as is, but it's a really nice bike. Blue book lists for 5,200, for the reasons already noted letting it go for 4,000, OBO.

2003 BMW R1150RS, We hear it all the time at the dealership – the R11 and R1150RS is still Bob’s all-time favorite all around BMW motorcycle of the past several decades. It could be because it was the first machine BMW built that came with a very adjustable riders seat so he could pretty much place his feet solidly on the ground or maybe the adjustable handlebars and windscreen on a sport bike was his tipping point. To hear him pontificate one might think it could be those and the sum of all the other great features on these machines that helps it remain as his all-time favorite; at least from past production that is because right now he’s pretty enamored with his new R9T and all the cool things the dealership is doing to it before we fully share it.We must share that originally we set this example aside as a possible Bob’s PROJECT BIKE. We had already taken the photos and the story was about to be written up. But then we saw a little available time in our service department due to some particularly chilly temperatures and said “screw it!, we’re going to make this a perfect used bike and then offer bit up for sale.” And that brings us to what you see here. It arrived on a trailer with a dead battery. A new battery brought it immediately to life and it ran perfectly fine. It had the usual needs a bike that has not seen enough use over the past few years had plus a few more so we created a retail estimate, calculated the financial outcome and then addressed them all. We are totally confident that whoever gets here first to check it out will probably be taking it home. It’s a beautiful machine with absolutely nothing left to do except ride and enjoy.

2002 BMW K1200RS & HANNIGAN SIDECAR, As a dedicated, enthusiastic, experienced and knowledgeable sidecar guy Bob has had sidecars of his own for 30 years. As a result so has Bob’s BMW. But it’s either we never have enough ready to go outfits to meet demand or all of a sudden we have several to choose from. The latter is what Bob prefers since it gives customers a choice.While we love to build new ones similar to this rig or even more exotic versions based on the newest high performance, adventure or touring machines the hard part has always been the ability to offer up nice, well cared for, fully serviced turnkey rigs that also turn heads for less than $20,000 let alone less than $15,000. But occasionally it happens.This is one of those occasions. While Bob’s did not sell this bike new or construct this rig we have plenty of firsthand knowledge and history on it. And have serviced it a few times since he acquired it. The prior owner was a 20 plus year client of Bob’s and this is actually the second time we’ve taken in one of his sidecar based machines. The sidecar pre-dates the bike by about 3 years, being produced in 1998 or 1999 and it was installed on his prior bike in 1999 or 2,000. It arrived here with 42,821 miles.Now this beautiful outfit is ready for a new home as he is no longer riding. We’ve done a through end to end servicing and added several upgrades and improved a few others we felt needed to be improved. Then the very day after it was all done Bob allowed a local friend, customer and very experienced sidecarist to use it for the 2014 Ride for Kids® so he could be a VIP escort as the event needed a few more pilots. As he got to take it home the day before and return it on Monday the official test ride came to about 125 enjoyable issue free miles. Bob logged some himself as well. So you know this one is ready for your enjoyment.

1976 BMW R75/6-R100RS, This is a special project but perhaps not for any reason our readers and those who might be interested probably have in mind. It’s a little more special (not specifically more valuable however) because Bob has known the person this interesting machine came to us from for almost as long as he’s been riding BMW motorcycles. As a result he watched this bike transform from the mostly original R75/6 it began its life as into the once beautiful R100RS hybrid it is now.Right up front we’ll disclose that to the best of the sellers knowledge this bike has about 80,000 total miles. He signed a document attesting to this and has no reason to not tell the truth. We believe that but you can judge for yourself if you don’t agree. It’s a bunch of miles for sure. The odometer shows 9,337 miles and that’s all that he believed was placed on the bike with that speedo which was swapped out at some point years ago. We’ve not ridden it far enough to know if the speedo actually logs miles and with the tires it has we aren’t going to test it out..We firmly believe that it still belongs on the road as it arrived running. But as a PROJECT BIKE it certainly requires a bunch of TLC, some mid-level expertise, a bunch of maintenance parts, tires, carb rebuild kits and a host of other stuff before you address the less than stunning cosmetics. But it is all there and there is a great deal that is hard to see in these teaser cell phone images but here they are just so we could get it up fast. If it does not sell pretty quickly Bob promised to take some better photos and provide a greater more diverse mix of views. For the short term, the astute lurker and efficient hunter-gatherer will call before that happens and steal it.
