I have for sale a 1999 BMW R1100GS. If motorcycles could talk, this thing would have a great story. I have not owned it long but since taking ownership it has had the transmission rebuilt with new bearings and seals as well as the timing chain tensioner on the left side upgraded. It currently has 61000 miles on it with a fresh oil change in the engine, transmission and final drive and as far as I can tell is in excellent mechanical condition. I personally have put about 5000 miles on it, 4000 of which is on the tranny rebuild. It is not pretty to look at, but it is set up for long distance adventure touring and it does it with ease. It has a lot of accessories on it which I have listed below:•High Output LED Fog lights•Russel Day Long Driver Saddle•Jesse Luggage system•Throttlemeister•Laser Aftermarket Exhaust (sounds awesome!)•Aluminum Oil pan guard•Hepco Becker Engine Guards•New Battery It also has new brake pads on the rear, and will come with and extra set of used tires with good tread. I haven't changed the current ones yet because there is still a little life left. I purchased it and have had my fun with it, all the while maintaining and fixing things that have needed addressed. I've had it at interstate speeds (80mph) for hours on end, and then get to my destination and go offroad. It truly is a fantastic bike in whatever environment it is in. It's time to move it on to someone else to appreciate so I can fund my winter restoration project. I am asking $3200 OBO. Thanks for looking.

1995 BMW 1100GS, Black - 77K miles - Clean MA title in my name (no bank liens, etc) - NO ABS, heated grips and seat, Acerbis hand guards, RID computer, Ohlins shocks - just rebuilt, BMW crash bars, HID lights, PIAA fog/driving lights, stainless Spiegler brake lines, etc. see maintenance history below for more upgrades. - $6,000 spent over 3 years on upgrades and maintenance. That number does not include my time - just parts and supplies. Top case not included. I have a very similar 52L Givi top case if interested. Are you looking for one of the best GS models ever made, but are worried about getting a bike with an unknown service history and none of the typical 1100 problems addressed? Well, don't worry about that, because I've spent the last three years doing it for you. I've got the extremely anal and detailed service history during my ownership available (see below) to ensure that this bike will be going strong through 150K and beyond. I use this GS daily as a commuter and touring bike and it has never once left me stranded, anywhere. I was attracted to this particular bike because it was used, maintained well, and loved. It was not just a hangar queen with low miles. It has some scratches and marks here and there - what you'd expect for a GS! Mechanically, it's in excellent condition and probably better than most any 1100GS out there for sale now. I could strip the bike of the upgrades and sell it for less, but I can't bring myself to do that after all the time and effort I put into this bike. I hope that someone will continue to take care of it after me. Here's some of the things you'll see in the service history that have the most immediate impact and make the bike feel new again: - New throttle and clutch cables - no sticking, smooth response throughout - Transmission rebuilt completely by one of the best mechanics for this type - Anton Largiarder in West Virginia. Less than 5k miles since rebuild. Splines lubed with the appropriate moly grease upon reassembly : ) clutch assembly replaced at same time. - HID lights are BRIGHT and wired to high beam, pretty much turn night into day. In addition, switchable PIAA fogs provide extra lighting at all times to supplement the front headlight. - Michelin Anakee 3 tires in great shape - the rear is almost new. Front <3k miles. - Brand new starter and battery installed a few weeks ago. Plenty of cranking power and quicker starts. - Seat is HEATED and has 1/2" more padding than original, - it's more comfortable. - Two horns (one electric FIAM, and one Stebel compressor-driven air horn) will wake up the most cell-focused drivers. - Swingarm bearings are new - you don't realize the importance of these until you drive old ones, then new ones. - TBs cleaned and balanced - the response is crisp, quick, and smooth. - Ohlins shocks, freshly rebuilt front and rear are available for an extra $1000. These do not come with the bike. The stock shocks will come with the bike. - BMW crash bars that were NOS before I installed them. You can't get these any more from BMW. - AX-FIED fuel controller for surge free riding. RECENT SERVICE HISTORY - (Touratech hard parts installed by previous owner) - (HID lights installed by previous owner) - (Stainless Spiegler brake lines installed on front by previous owner) - Purchase - 6/12/12 - Final drive oil - 9/1/12 - Transmission gear oil - 9/1/12 - Engine oil+filter - 9/1/12 - Spark plugs changed - 9/1/12 - Engine oil+filter - 5/5/13 - Fuel filter changed - 5/10/13 - Internal + external fuel hoses replaced with new - 5/10/13 - Fuel line quick disconnects installed - 5/10/13 - Fuel cap gaskets replaced with new - 5/10/13 - Brake fluid front + rear refresh + new front pads - 6/1/13 - Both throttle cables replaced (New, OEM) - 6/14/13 - Clutch cable replaced and clutch throw adjusted to BMW spec (New, OEM) - 6/14/13 - Fuel injector & throttle body o-rings replaced. - 6/14/13 - Throttle bodies cleaned & synched - 6/14/13 - Transmission rebuilt by Anton Largiarder (cost: $1,145) - 8/5/13 - Clutch assembly replaced during transmission overhaul -8/5/13 - Transmission & Final Drive oil changed - 8/5/13 - Final drive bearing seal replaced - 8/4/13 - Swingarm & Final drive-side bearings replaced (4 of them) - 8/4/13 - Neutral switch replaced with new, OEM unit - 8/4/13 - New style cam chain tensioner installed - 8/29/13 - New Michelin Anakee III tires installed F+R - 9/28/13 - Installed new rear brake pads - 9/28/13 - Replaced oil sight glass - 11/20/13 - Oil + filter Change - 11/20/13 - Brand new ignition wiring harness installed - 1/20/14 - HES sensor replaced - 1/20/14 - AX-FIED o2 controller installed. I have decided to sell my 1995 BMW R1100GS Motorbike. It's in excellent shape and has always been adult owned and responsibly ridden. The R1100GS Series is considered by many enthusiasts to be the best of the BMW GS line and the last to capture the true essence of the classic BMW Dual-sport style, and it's considered to be the world standard for reliability. These bikes regularly go 200,000 miles, with reports some approaching the half million mile mark! I personally have ridden this bike year round, and it's a blast to ride in all season (as long as you're appropriately dressed!) Disclaimer: it's a pretty large bike with a high seat height, so it may not be suitable for shorter riders. This bike is almost completely stock, with the exception of a Corbin seat, PIAA fog lamps, and Acerbis hand guards. The bike is perfect working condition and ready for any adventure. These bikes are meticulously engineered and maximum performance and ride comfort is achieved with stock parts, so I try to stay away from so called aftermarket "Upgrades." I'm selling it because I simply don't ride it enough anymore, and it deserves to be in the hands of someone who will thoroughly enjoy it. I changed all of the fluids at the beginning of the season (Oil, transmission fluid, Rear end gear oil.) The old fluids looked great with no evidence of any excessive wear on any components. The air cooled, fuel injected Boxer twin engine starts immediately in any weather condition and runs quietly and smoothy with tons of power. The clutch is good, and the brakes were given a clean bill of health last year when it was at the BMW dealer. Tires are practically new Michelin Anakee series for great performance in all weather conditions. Keep in mind that it is a 20 year old bike at this point, so it's not perfect, but I would not hesitate to personally ride it across the country tomorrow if I had the need to. Here are some of the features:- Michelin Anakee Tires with 90%+ Life left- All fluids changed less than 1000 miles ago- ABS in excellent working condition- Heated handlebar grips- Acerbis hand guards- PIAA Fog lamps in excellent condition, wired into the stock fog light switch- Factory complete tool kit including tire repair kit (Sealed)- Stock exhaust system is nearly silent for fatigue-free riding- Factory BMW System Side cases- Extra Corbin saddle (Front and Rear)- Removable passenger back rest- Aluminum luggage tray The bike is located in Lititz, PA, just outside of the Lancaster area. I have a clear PA title in my name. Please contact me if you have any questions, or would like to see the bike.
