1974 BMW R90/6Only year of the /6 bikes to have both the kickstart and an electric start. Also the only year to retain the beautiful earlier /5 hand controls. Equipped with an original S fairing that houses the optional voltmeter and clock. I have loved owning this bike and have looked after it accordingly. I change the oil once a month along with a valve adjustment, the carbs have been rebuilt and synchronized perfectly. I have a strong emotional attachment to this R90 but it's time to move on. I swapped the long stem mirrors out for a single left side stubby version. It really cleans the lines up. The original BMW panniers are in great condition and show no sign of wear, all the clasps and attachements are in perfect working order. All the lights work as they should. This has got the desirable alluminium turn signals. New grips and footpeg rubbers. The seat is showing age appropriate wear but it's too nice to have recovered. Fits two very comfortably, I've been up and down the coast with a passenger and luggage.Mileage is just under 50,000 miles. The original points system has been upgraded to a Dyna electronic ignition. New AGM sealed battery as of last week.
