I purchased this Champagne metallic 2004 Montauk in 2013 with only 7,951 miles. Today, she has a mere 15,762 miles. I have returned this bike to essentially the same condition she was in when I got her. VIN: WB10319A04ZJ95055 Born: Berlin 10/7/2003 Here's the service history, with all maintenance done by me personally: New Odyssey PC-680 battery 5/17/13 @ 7,951 miles Spectro 20/50 semi-synthetic oil change & BMW filter 8/8/13 @ 8,075 miles Avon Venom AM41 front tire 10/12/13 @ 9,024 miles Avon Venom AM42 rear tire 10/15/13 @ 9,345 miles Spectro 20/50 semi-synthetic oil change, BMW filter, final drive & gear oil & complete ABS brake fluid flush, clutch fluid change 4/11/14 @ 10,229 miles Spectro 20/50 semi-synthetic oil change & filter 10/12/16 @ 15,762 On June 10, 2013 I modified the side stand mount to reduce the side stand lean. Its much easier to lift the bike up off the side stand now, as its more vertical. I always keep the handle bars turned to the left when parking, as its almost too vertical when they're turned to the right. Also, the bike came to me with clear rear turn signal lenses and a clear tail light lens. One of the turn signal lenses went air born one day, and as I had no other clear ones to replace it with, I swapped them out to amber ones with a red tail light lens. A new aftermarket Valeo starter was also installed when I first got the bike. I think I had DynaBeads installed with the new tires. The tires look almost brand new, and should have tons of life left in them. Brake pads are nowhere even close to needing to be changed. Speed Bleeders installed. The previous owner drilled out the end caps of the silencers, so they have a little growl to them, but nothing obnoxious. The engine pulls hard, transmission shifts like butter, servo-assisted ABS stops the bike on a dime, and bike looks like new. Paint and chrome are in fine condition. Fuel tank liner is in fine condition. I added stainless CPC metal fuel line quick disconnects. There's one of those annoying locking oil fill caps- its yours. I'll give the buyer a choice of keeping the black leather "C" seat the bike came to me with, or swapping it out for a carbon fiber comfort seat, although it won't match the black leather back rest pad, and I don't have a carbon fiber back rest pad to give you. If I look real hard, I might be able to find a plain black leather comfort seat to give you. I also have installed the stock Montauk wind screen. If you prefer, I'll swap that out for a pretty tall Cee Bailey's shield. Everything on this bike functions as it should. I have gone over it in detail, and would not hesitate to ride this bike cross country tomorrow. If you insist on seeing and hearing a video of the bike running, I'll be happy to do it. If you need additional photos of any part of the bike, I'll do that too. If you want to have a qualified mechanic check out the bike before you buy it, I can work with that too.
