2003 BMW R 1150 RT, 2003 BMW R1150 RT-P. This is the police version of the greatest sport touring bike ever. Low miles at 28,000. Runs great, all systems work perfect. Fully serviced at Frontline BMW in Salem VA. Former Albemarle County VA Police Motor. The 1150 RT is (IMO) the most beautifully sculpted, aerodynamic motorcycle ever. Electrically adjustable windshield, heated grips, 2 accessory plugs. This police version has many features not found on civilian RTs: ABS brakes are partially integrated, this means front brake lever operates front and rear brakes, rear brake pedal operates only rear brake. Oil cooler fan to cool the engine while idling. Euro light switch to turn off headlights. 840 watt, 60 amp alternator. Very comfortable all day saddle. Wired for dual batteries, but second battery removed, and glove box in its place. I have replaced the "City Case Lids" with full size saddlebag lids. (original lids included). I've removed the front fairing protection bars, and they are included. I just had the clutch replaced at local BMW dealer (it was slipping a bit, police duty can be tough on these dry clutches). All fluids are fresh including ABS brake fluids, clutch fluid, engine, transmission, and final drive oils. Rear tire new, front good. There are no issues with this bike, it is ready to tour.
