1996 BMW R 1100 RTL, This 1996 BMW R1100RT, with 74,758 miles, is in excellent condition. It is equipped with ABS, heated grips and push-button adjustable windshield, and has custom paint that makes it a one-of-a-kind standout Beamer. The motorcycle has been fully serviced within the past 500 miles, including brake fluid change, engine oil change with filter, final drive fluid change, spline lubrication, transmission fluid change, spark plugs, throttle body synchronization and valve adjustment, as well as replacement of rear brake pads (front pads have a lot of wear remaining), fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter and battery. The bike originally came with a factory-installed radio that has been removed to create a storage compartment. The radio is included in the sale and can be reinstalled if desired. Other accessories include color-matched side cases, highway pegs, headlight shield, and rider's back rest. This is an outstanding opportunity to ride a BMW that runs like new at a modest price. When I started riding in 2008, I bought a large cruiser (2008 Yamaha Raider), but after several years of being encouraged by riding friends to try an RT, I bought the 1996 to see if I would like the change in riding style. The transition was much quicker than expected (only about 500 miles), and now there is no turning back. I have sold my Raider, purchased a newer RT as my only ride, and now need to part with 1996 RT. Now that the end of this years riding season is approaching, I am willing to sell at a reduced price of $3,975. If the sale carries over into next spring, the price will increase (the BMW dealer has told me they will list it at $4,975 if I choose to sell it on consignment). $3,975.00
