Vintage 1979 BMW R65 with only 4,200 miles. Excellent condition, no major scratches, tears, damage. A classic Airhead in excellent running condition. (Needs battery and carb tuneup due to prolonged storage).

This is an R65 that came to us after being in storage for about 15 years. The bike was leak down tested and was at 80% and 85% respectively so it needs some top end maintenance. We have repaired the starter and installed a fresh battery and the bike starts and runs. We have also cleaned and rebuilt the carbs. All the fluids are changed and now fresh. The front wheel has a dent in it but the tire is holding air. The front brake caliper is frozen and needs to be rebuilt and the steering head bearings need to be replaced.The early 80's R65 is a great mid size do everything bike and if you are looking for a fun project and don't mind getting your hands dirty, this might be the perfect choice. The body work is in very good condition and all the pieces are here to have a great vintage bike.
