Well, he's gone and done it. He's leaving me for a newer model after several good years of faithful service. I curse those new water-cooled jugs and all that fancy electronic gimickery. Ride modes?! Ha! GPS? Get a map! Satellite radio? Geeeze...just ride the dang bike! But...his mind's made up and I need to pack my things and make space in the garage for the new one. (Her day will come, I swear!) On the bright side, I'm in superb condition...clean as a whistle and I've had all my shots. I've been around a mere 18,024 miles as of my last bath this week. (At least he was kind enough to detail me out!) I've still got lots of tricks up my sleeves.....heated grips, heated seats, cruise control, on-board computer, 2nd accessory socket, ESA, ABS (of course)....and electric adjust on the windscreen, too. I just know I can make you smile...wink wink. No radio, you'll have to listen to my heartbeat or bring your own tunes. I'm light and nimble for my size and I like to run hard. Or we can just take it slow. Your call...you're the new boss. I'm a Metzler girl front and rear, with about half life on my backside and another 2-3,000 still on my front end. (Remember what my pappy always said, your mileage may vary!) My hips have those fancy protectors on the luggage bags and my cylinders are padded, too. Not that you'll ever drop me but just in case. I've got an extra big foot on my sidestand also. That helps keep me up when it's hot out and it's got a nice extension thing that makes it extra easy to put the stand down. New Shorai Lithium Iron battery last year (charger not included...owner has a lot of those batteries around) Oh, and I've had those pesky recalls you may have heard of all taken care of and my fuel stripper (ahem) thing is all good to go again.
