2011 BMW R 1200 GS ADVENTURE, This is a sad reality but I am finally going to part with "La Morena." She has been the best motorcycle I've ever owned and has taken me way "Beyond Starbucks." In terms of fame and notoriety, this may be one of the most photographed and video'd bikes like this out there next to maybe Simon Thomas's GS ;) Well maybe not, but you get the idea. I have this new project 990 bike I'm building and they're just too similar and I have too small a garage space now to fit two bikes. Kelly Blue Book for this bike in "excellent" condition and with all the factory stuff like ABS, ASC TPMS, and ESA is $15,550. However, I realize this bike isn't in pristine factory showroom condition (62k miles) and has a few bumps and scrapes (as they should have). Mechanically, it's extremely sound. Frame integrity 100%. All the scheduled maintenance has been performed on time. The only real problems I had with it were a failed clutch slave ($180 fix) and that cam chain skip (fixed). The one thing this bike will need soon is a new clutch. The clutch is fine right now but they typically last about 70k miles and that should be done. I have off roaded this thing mostly but have been running the Touratech pre-filters and my air filter is always minimally dirty. What is really remarkable about this bike, aside from the fact it's a GSA, is all the upgrades I've made to it. Go ahead and buy a used GSA Starbucks bike and then add up everything you'll need to prepare if for off-road (~$9,500): Woody's Wheels (rear only; can negotiate for 21" front) Front 19" wheel rarely used and in pristine condition; rotors too TFX Suspension front and rear (the best in the industry) Hard panniers (left side not lockable; right side is) Pivot Pegz Black Dog Cycle Works skid plate Machine Art Moto head covers Rigid D2 led light harness Oil cooler guard Headlight guard Aftermarket levers RRR Tool Solutions custom risers w/dual USB, voltage meter and powerlet outlet Giant Loop Fandango tank bag 4 pin wired for GPS (Garmin 60Csx) 2 USB chargers and one is dual, so 3 usb charging ports Voltage meter 3 total powerlet outlets (Touratech dash plate, prototype risers, under seat) Barkbuster Storm guards (still have stock guards as spare) Touratech fuel line, TPS, rear disc guards AltRider side stand footprint enlarger, rear brake master cylinder protector, rear luggage platform AltRider Hemisphere soft panniers are also negotiable but not included in price. Here's a video that goes over all the stuff done on this bike: https://youtu.be/ltunHexlXX0 $11,995.00
