I have for sale a 1999 BMW R1100GS. If motorcycles could talk, this thing would have a great story. I have not owned it long but since taking ownership it has had the transmission rebuilt with new bearings and seals as well as the timing chain tensioner on the left side upgraded. It currently has 61000 miles on it with a fresh oil change in the engine, transmission and final drive and as far as I can tell is in excellent mechanical condition. I personally have put about 5000 miles on it, 4000 of which is on the tranny rebuild. It is not pretty to look at, but it is set up for long distance adventure touring and it does it with ease. I haven't changed the current ones yet because there is still a little life left. I purchased it and have had my fun with it, all the while maintaining and fixing things that have needed addressed. I've had it at interstate speeds (80mph) for hours on end, and then get to my destination and go offroad. It truly is a fantastic bike in whatever environment it is in. It's time to move it on to someone else to appreciate so I can fund my winter restoration project. I am asking $3200 OBO. Thanks for looking.
