They took care of it with the previous owner, who rode it little and kept it in immaculate condition. But that's right, I've owned it for only four months! Why? I took a couple months off work to live the dream and ride this bike from Boston to San Francisco. And it was AMAZING! I added about 8,000 miles, all told. I did the full service at 49,000 back in October and put on fresh rubber around 46,500 or so. The only hiccup in operation I had was a dead brake light, which I replaced. I love this bike dearly and hate to see it go, as does my father (also a BMW rider) whose garage it's currently decorating. So why am I doing it? Why does anyone get off a majestic sport tourer?
