Description Overview You are bidding on a beautiful 2003 BMW K1200LT full dress touring machine, always garage kept, and loaded. The bike has 38,980 miles on it, all highway. This is a meticulously maintained BMW K1200LT. I am the second owner of this beautiful bike. I purchased this bike after returning from a tour in Africa thinking I would drive it from Silver Spring, MD to Fort Detrick, MD but then was stationed here in Silver Spring. After using it for a year (2013) the 8 mile (in traffic) commute was just too short for a touring bike, so I purchased a K1200GT. After having both bikes now for about 2 years, I am simply not riding. A couple close calls here in the DC area have lead me to spend more time worrying about other drivers than enjoying the ride. If you are like me, you ride because you enjoy it. When you can’t enjoy it anymore, and you have a wife that worries, it’s time to let it go (the bike, not the wife). The good news for you is that because I anticipated riding I did several upgrades which will put the bike in great stead for the next several years.
