I am a motorcycle fan and collector. This motorcycle is for Beemer Lovers and sports enthusiastic. Here is the History of this Police Beemer. This Police special was in service in NJ used for parade and selective escort services by the town administration. The motorcycle has excellent service records and was maintained as per the beemer's bible by the BMW dealership. The town fireman opted for this police model with his retirement package. As the luck would have it he won a Raffle ticket with a high end Motorcycle and decided to sell this baby. The gentleman from whom I purchased this motorcycle couple of years back is 83 years old was the next owner. This previous owner sold this beauty to me, rode for sometime and because of his advancing age decided to sell and I purchased from him. I was targeting for a specific sport event in Asia where I want to take this beauty,participate fully decorated..Therefore I turned NUT and did the following on this Motorcycle. 1. Took the motorcycle to BMW dealership at Arlington. They examined from bumper to bumper. One mirror was replaced as it showed some hairline cracks.Some hardware was replaced with ss factory replacements. 2. The second Police battery was removed by the previous owner to make the motorcycle light. I replaced both the batteries with factory GEL and installed the police battery. 3. I requested the dealership to change all fluids which they did including the filters. 4. I removed the radio box and some police lights as I needed the pillion rider as my Navigator on the event. 5. I retained the police chrome engine and rear side chrome bars trimming the rear section of the police bars ( see the photograph) 6. I installed a garmin 2820 GPS (BMW Navigator 3)which has Bluetooth as well as out put jack for voice guidance. 7. Arrangements for iphone setup and wired circuits for charging the same. 8. Installed VDO volt meters for both motorcycle & Police batteries. 9 Opted for a BMW tank bag and rear trunk with rider support pad. 10.Installed a "SURE FOOT" pad for the kick stand importing the same from Germany. 11.Installed pillion rider seat 12.Opted for new set of low SARGENT saddles for rider and pillion rider. ( This has less than 200 miles on them) 13.Escort radar detector installed on the LH side of the handlebar. 14.Mount for Camcorder on RH side of the handlebar. The police model is equipped with additional features which are not in the standard RT model marketed by BMW. Essentially the differences are: A .Additional oil coolers B. Additional Battery and wiring circuits. C. Anti rolling kick stand. D. High out put Alternator. E. Additional lights and special circuits. F.More accurate speedometer and higher final drive ratio gear box. ( for more details please refer the specification on BMW R 1150 RT-P in the web page) The motorcycle comes with heated grips and additional PIAA driving lights.Both tires and batteries are less than 500 miles on them. The motorcycle carries a valid sticker till 5/31 2016. There is NO implied or expressed warranty. The sale is final and as-is. where-is basis.Pick up is buyer's responsibility. No tire kickers and dreamers. Test ride is possible after receiving the $500.00 deposit through paypal. If not satisfied the amount will be returned through paypal/cash as the case may be. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SELL THIS MOTORCYCLE LOCALLY AND ALSO RESERVE THE RIGHT NOT TO SELL AT ALL. I PUT ON SALE THIS BABY FOR THE REASON OF HEALTH. IT MAY TAKE ANOTHER 6 MONTHS OR AN YEAR BY THE TIME I AM FULLY FUNCTIONAL FOR THE SPORT EVENT. When my son graduated from BU he wanted a Beemer. I thought of gifting him this beemer as his graduation gift.He was already riding my Kawasaki vulcan 750 cruiser and no problem to ride this beemer.Here are the facts. I am the third owner of this beemer. The previous owner moved to Vermont on retirement and this beemer came up for sale. I purchased her from the previous owner who is the second owner.He purchased this beemer for the original owner who only put about 3k mils before selling. When I got this motorcycle the color was metallic green( color code 563) and low handlebar with LS model. My son wanted black and also the high handlebar as he is about 5'10" The frame and engine numbers are matched. I tore the motorcycle. I got the painting form a professional body shop here and they painted BMW black shade for the body.code 668 and for silver code 594#008.Since my son was interested in participating in a sports event I decided to rebuild this motorcycle as best as I can. Paint being taken care I changed the low profile handlebar to the BMW GS model of the same R65. All parts were brought out form BMW dealership.The list is exhaustive, but here are some caps. Front and rear tire New, BMW new gel battery, All control cables replaced.Wiring kit replaced. Upholstery professionally refinished.All filters and fluid replaced. Fork rebuilt.The factory exhaust system (Chrome) retained and SS muffler cover imported from Germany installed. Hazard warning list installed. My son wanted sports sound and I got the aftermarket pipes and mufflers but never installed on the bike. The items are still in the box and is available to the buyer of this bike. The motorcycle is NEAR Perfect. I added VDO Volt meter and quartz watch which can be seen in the photographs. The owner's manual,Shop manual,Parts catlouge and tool kit with original Duplicate keys are also included. My son wants a sports beemer and I have too may toys to deal with. Hence now this baby is for sale. I have spent over 8K on this bike. Whoever buys this baby is going to be lucky! The motorcycle is located in EAST WALPOLE MA 02032.The sale is final with NO expressed or implied warranty. The sale is as-is and where is basis.I also reserve the right to sell the motorcycle locally. I can work with the buyer's transporter if needed once all the expenses are paid off by the buyer.
