The BMW K1600 GTL is a high class touring bike like none before it. This bike has the most compact and efficient inline 6-cylinder engine ever installed in a series production motorcycle. The ergonomics of the K 1600 GTL are designed for long trips and leave nothing to be desired for rider or passenger in terms of comfort. The slim design in the area of the rider's seat and the fact that the handlebars reach far back allows a relaxed seating position - for hours and over hundreds of miles. The passenger enjoys a sizable seating area and a comfortable backrest. Did you ever ride on a very dark night, and wonder what was in the curve ahead of you? Well, the adaptive headlight is a revolution that matches the visionary front section of the K 1600 GTL and provides the very highest level of active safety.There are so many features on this bike, that I can’t list them all. There are things such as an on board computer that allows you to see your tire pressure, change the ride dynamics, select the temp for the heated handgrips and both rider and passenger seats; on the fly adjustment for the load level; fuel consumption; outside temp; auto luggage lock and alarm; ABS brakes; on board GPS; bluetooth connectivity, and on and on.This is a touring bike no doubt, but with the detachable rear trunk, it becomes a sport bike. Actually, all of the luggage is detachable. This is a liquid cooled, 4-stroke inline 6-cylinder , four valves per cylinder, double overhead camshaft, dry sump lubrication, that is 1,649cc’s. There are 160 hp at 7,750 rpm, with a maximum speed of over 125 mph. At normal speeds, it gets 52 mpg, with a 7 +1 gallon fuel tank, which is a nice cruising range.This bike has always been garaged, and dealer maintained.
