Classic 1971 BMW R75/5 I'm selling a very nice R75/5 airhead, large gas tank model. It runs well and has had a LOT of work done recently. It's not in perfect cosmetic shape -- there is a small dent in the rear of the tank and some blemishes, but it is the original cream white paint, and the rubber knee pads are in great shape. It's also missing the silver side panels that go under the seat, and generally needs some polish and TLC. But, it will clean up pretty nicely, has many original parts including the Bing carb's, and it's a very stylish bike and a really good runner, all things considered. The bike has approximately 79K miles on it, and I ride it regularly, mainly commuting 3 or 4 times a week. Recent work done includes: Full service, inspection and safety check. New clutch Rebuilt transmission New rear shocks (Ikon) Rear main seal replaced Many other seals, boots and cables replaced. New carb floats and adjustment New tires and tubes and more. All work was done by Dave at Recommended Service in SF. I have the receipts. Pretty much everything works, other than the tachometer. All electrical is in good working condition, all lights and turn signals work. I have two ignition keys, but I don't have the steering lock key, which also serves as the seat lock key. The seat is currently unlocked, so you can access the compartment, and you can get these keys made pretty easily. Battery tender connection installed. I have a clean title in hand.
