1967 BMW R50/2 2700 miles on a meticulous, ground-up restoration of this classic 1967 R50/2 BMW motorcycle. Restoration done by a BMW mechanic over three winters. Engine, gearbox, final drive, frame and all electricals were restored. Cylinders bored 1/1000 inch over standard and hardened valve seats installed. All suspension bearings were replaced. The original triple tree bearings were replaced with tapered bearings (better than the original bearings). The frame was stripped, then powder coated. Sheet medal parts and tank were stripped, lacquered, and clear coated. Deep-dish Weiman aluminum wheels were polished and laced with stainless spokes. Brake shoes were replaced with modern shoe material (much better than the original). Corbin seats have been installed, but I still have the original bench seat (the Corbins are much more comfortable). Folding luggage rack. Complete OEM tool kit. All serial numbers match. Careful post restoration break-in done to original factory instructions. This is a rare find and will give years of trouble-free service. $13,500.00 7205290155
