1952 BMW R25/3, the model that many would say saved BMW after the Second World War. This bike was imported to Canada from Australia in 2002, and I do have all the Importation documents. The previous owner had the bike running a few years ago, and parked it. It was on display in his private collection since then. I have not insured the bike since buying it, so there is no active registration or title but will be sold with bill of sale. It would most likely not take much effort to get this bike Road ready, that said it depends on what you are looking for. To become a driver with minimal work it would require tightening the handlebars, new battery, new gas, check the brakes and tires, and go. If you are wanting a restored bike, the paint is older and showing its age, there are signs of older body work near the rear hinged fender. The tail light and left control are not BMW parts. It would require complete renovation if you are wanting a show bike. The good news is that the tank is original and all steel, same with the fenders, these are often replaced with fibreglass replicas. There is good value in the tin alone! The seat is in great shape, perhaps had a new cover or pad at some point. Exhaust is in very nice condition as well. The engine is free and feels as though it has strong compression. An appreciating classic, with fantastic lines Canadian dollar is low right now, great time to buy!Sold as is due to age.

1970 BMW R60/5 original condition, recently purchased from original owner who parked the bike to get the seat redone. The upholstery shop lost the seat, and he never drove it again after that. I bought it and found a new seat. This bike as used as a highway cruiser, which is why it has the engine guards and panniers. It did have a ferring on it, but was removed and not included. I have not tried starting it yet because I haven't finished wiring back up the signal lights after removing the ferring. The engine does kick over easily, carbs were bagged and wrapped when it was parked. And do have the air cleaner covers though they are not pictured. Also included are the hard shell panniers and rack tool roll, and dealer brochure. Paint is original and excellent other then the tank which has some dents form storage. Tires will need replacing as they are old. To be honest I don't think it would take much to get it going, it's winter here, and I've got other bikes to keep me busy :)Sold as is, on a bill of sale, Alberta where I am does not issue or use titles.
