BMW K-100, 1985; fuel injected, inline 4 cylinder 1000cc motor, shaft drive. I have all fairing, mirrors, hard bags, all mics & spare parts. F&R rotors are new, surface rust but new. Bike has not been run in 3 years. New AVON tires F&R were installed a few years ago. I purchased it from a friend to help him out after a fire. I only rode the bike a few times thinking he was going to want it back. NOTE: mileage is close, may be plus + or minus - 300-400 hundred miles. Buyer handles transportation. NOTE: this is a project or parts bike. No warranty. Sold as is, where is.

Retired private-party enthusiast offers (individually) my personal collection of BMW K-Series motorcycles! If you're an individual looking for an inexpensive alternative to the high-cost of new BMW cycles, please read on. I've got a lifetime of experience owning/collecting all types of German vehicles. And while I've loved the many airhead BMW's owned, I've come to be a strong proponent of the tremendous value, and, what I believe to be the technological superiority (and reliability) of the in-line 4-cylinder (80's - 90's) BMW K-Series bikes. I'm sure I have something which will please that fits your budget. I have many K100/K1100 examples. Owning one of these bikes for so little, yet capable of giving many, many years of trouble-free service is what BMW VALUE is all about! These particular BMW models are absolutely bullet-proof. And that's an understatement. They are the only BMW models to have ever surpassed 100,000 kilometers (without repair) on the brutal, grueling, BMW factory-test-track in Berlin! Let that fact sink into your mind for a minute? There are dozens of stories from around the world of owners easily going 200,000 miles (and beyond) on these models. One European gentleman (highlighted in a 1996 German motorcycle magazine article) has 460,000 kilometers on his BMW K100. And yes, NO major repairs! Any wonder why I'm such a proponent of K100's and K1100's? Truly, the best value for high-speed/long-distance road travel, hands-down! Some of my bikes are RS's, some are RT's, and some are LT's. I also have the sweet, "naked K100" w/ brand-new tires, front brakes, and 40K original miles. Probably my most favorite bike due to the riding position. Did I mention "bullet-proof" relative to these particular models? I also have a custom 1985 K100RS with the rare German "Pichler Fairing." Dealer installed as an option. Outrageously beautiful! Please notice the exceptional original condition of this listed "naked" K100! Write me an email sharing what it is you want in a BMW motorcycle? What is your personal budget? It will be my pleasure to steer you in the right direction. I don't have the time or desire to talk on the phone about these BMW's. If I sense you are sincere about acquiring something from this collection, after we've communicated, I will, of course, start a phone dialog with you? Otherwise, all interested parties are free to visit Ventura, CA for a first-hand look at any BMW in my stable. Individual model pics are available upon request. These bikes are definitely worth your time. If they weren't good bikes I wouldn't own them. Simple as that. Contact me! I'll entertain reasonable cash offers. I may even pay for your shipping? We'll see? Don't buy a new BMW, please. Show restraint. The slightly older bikes, are STRONGER! Plus, you won't notice the difference between riding a new BMW, or riding one of the offered bikes. That's the beauty of Pre-Owned BMW value.

Good condition.1985 BMW K100RT motorcycle. With fairing and hard saddle bags and extra parts. I am switching to a smaller bike. Good road/touring bike. Sold as is. Local pickup. Clear title. Have ridden very little since I bought it two years back. Just too big for me as I am just using on local back roads. Approximately 48 K miles. Thanks.

1985 BMW K100 (1000cc) with 8,300 miles on it!!!!!!!! Rare bike with unheard of low miles. In looking around at other bikes for milage I have yet to see one with less then 16,000. I have seen them with as many as 100K. History:I am the second owner of the bike. It had been stored in a dry garage 20-25 years by my neighbor. It was promised to me when I was old enough and upon my neighbors passing. I put 2,000 miles on it my self in weekend riding. Service:Immediately upon taking the bike out of the garage it was broken down by my personal mechanic with vast knowledge on old bikes (records are included.) The previous owner had fogged the cylinders and drained the gas tank. The gas tank is stainless steel and looks like the inside of a beer can. The suspension was broken down and seals replaced. The fuel pump worked but was replaced as a precautionary measure as well as all rubbers replaced. Injectors were cleaned though were fine. Tires were replaces and a brand new front tire with no miles is on the front now (must have caught a small puncture last fall ride.) All drive fluids and components were greased and oils changed. Radiators were flushed out. Brake master cylinders were taken apart and rebuilt. Brake systems flushed through. Defects:A slow speed drop from the previous owner that occurred in the driveway. Mirror has shallow scratches. Left fairing has 1 hairline crack that is 3 inches long easily glued. Left fairing is chipped away as seen in pictures. Very easy sanded over and repainted. I never got around to doing either because I was never concerned by this. Otherwise bike is in excellent condition with no tears, scratches, dents etc to be found.HandlingThis bike handles like a dirt bike once its moving. It feels flick able in all the right ways and as light as a bike half its cc size. The rubber in the handlebars are still in very good condition and take a lot of the vibration and other discomforts sometimes experienced on older bikes. The bike leans well in turns and can comfortably get pegs close to ground. It shifts very smoothly and the brakes work great. Reason for selling:Moving to the big city and if this had 60k on it It would come, but the city trashes bikes and I couldn't heart to do so. This would make a great bike for any touring enthusiast. The trunk bags can fit a ton and I have used it for commuting. They come off very easy and hinges work great.
