2007 BMW K1200GT. Bought this bike with less than 1000 miles on it and have enjoyed it more than any bike I ever had. Bike has 29000 miles all gently ridden. This bike was my daily driver in Dallas. I chose this bike because of the safety features, ABS, excellent brakes, Heated grips and seat, auto suspension, biki has every bell and whistle except tire press indicator. Bright lights at night. I have put a complete Remus header and muffler set on the bike as well as a power commander. This bike flies. You turn the wick back at 80 and WOW!!!. I have a second engine with about the same mileage that goes with the bike, as well as the origional exhaust. I loved this bike so much I bought the 2nd motor because I knew Id keep it forever, but not gonna happen. Have too many bikes and wife says need to focus on retirement instead of the GT. And shes right. I am an old aircrafter and I am very very picky on maintenance. Ive run Rotella 10W40 T6 since I bought the bike, and change every 5000 mi. Extra motor came from a wrecked 07 GTon Ebay and ran great with good compression in all cylinders. Bike still has origional motor, is healthy and runs fine. BMW couldnt seem to decide if the diff fluid needed changing so I change it anyway, just for safety. If your looking for a nice 1200 GT that will last forever, this is your bike.
Nice Bike. This was a project bike, that I worked on to keep for myself. I already have 4 BMW"s plus this RS. Turns out ,this bike is not me, and it's for sale. I will never get back the money or time I spent on this thing. First ,as you know the Olin shocks are about $3000. They were sent off to N.C. and serviced. Also I bought the cases new. The bike has new clutch and main seal that was installed at Ft.Worth BMW. It has a long list of new parts, Battery,Tires,(Mich -Street Pilots),BMW windshield,heated grips,front turn signal housing, steel quick-release fuel lines,and the rubber fuel lines, new gas filter,steel braided brake lines,and speed-bleaders. The bike is freshly serviced. Also new fork seals. It has ABS but no cruse control. I have a throttle lock, that can be installed. I also have foot peg lower brackets,farkle plate,big mack tank-bag mount. The wires that run up the handle bars have new sheafs. Lets talk, I drive a truck and can't text if I'm on the road.
