2001 BMW F 650 GS DAKAR, 2001 BMW F650GS Dakar with 1209 original miles, never abused, and minimally modified. I purchased this bike from the original owner a couple of years ago, with roughly 700 miles on it at the time. The bike has always been babied, garaged, and maintained. That said, I have not had that much time to ride the Dakar (obviously), but when I have, it has always been awesome. Great sounds, wonderful riding position, and a lot of fun both on and off road. In the time that I have had the bike, I have done the following: A&S "The Big One" service kit installed Shorai lithium ion battery w/ charger/keeper EBC front brake rotor DID gold chain PIAA's with custom mounts that I made (without modification to the motorcycle) SW-Motech center stand Dunlop 606 tires with about 150 miles on them. I also removed the majority of the decals that originally came on the bike (personal taste), I painted the gauge surround and windshield matte black, and also removed the skid plate/belly pan. Included with the bike are new fork seals (uninstalled), the original brake rotor, the skid plate/belly pan. a Nelson-Rigg lightweight cover, and a very comprehensive service and repair CD. The Dakar is cosmetically and mechanically excellent, with only one tiny mark on the bodywork, left of the headlight and one on the same side, but positioned at the saddle line, and practically unseen. Both are about the size of 1/2 a TicTac or less. Otherwise, I cannot imagine a nicer 2001 Dakar that has actually been ridden. This motorcycle is the real deal, a true collectors piece. 2009 BMW G 650 GS, This red and black GS is in very good condition, with approximately 13,000 highway miles (odometer replaced under warranty, so exact mileage is unknown). The GS is an excellent starter bike because it is relatively lightweight, but has sufficient horsepower for highway riding and merging, and has safety features like linked, ABS brakes - a lifesaver. This bike has some scratches on the left side from moving, but has never been dropped. It has had all service at the prescribed intervals, and is running great. This GS also comes with handlebar warmers for those brisk fall and winter rides. It's factory seat best accommodates riders under 6 feet tall, although higher seats are available. I have driven on long road trips with it loaded down with no issues still averaging 60-70mpg. Single cylinder. Lots of extras. BMW dealership maintained. Locking side cases and top case. Heated grips. ABS. Fuel-injected. Wunderlich fog lights, LED rear brake light, tank bag for touring, taller windshield, hand guards, center stand, adjustable suspension, cigarette lighter to plug in GPS or heated suits, and BMW reliability and luxury. 2006 BMW GS 650 with 13,826 miles. Used mainly for commuting, generally 1 to 1 and 1/2 each way. Even though this is a Dual Sport it has been one of the most comfortable road bike I have ridden with the upright position. The tires are newer Michelin Pilots with a lot of life left. The battery was replaced in the spring with a SEALED battery. I will also include the BMW battery tender that connects through the accessory port so that you do not have to remove the cladding. Addition items to the bike include a higher tinted wind screen and the helmet / top case. Immediate local delivery (within 30 miles) is possible at no cost with open trailer or I would be happy to help coordinate shipment if the purchaser needed. Delivery is also possible if within 2 hours / 100 miles of Rochester NY and the purchaser is willing to offset 50 cents per mile and closed trailer rental. $5,500.00
