Definitely an eye catching Big Dog and is extremely unique! I haven't seen any like this one! The Highly Desirable Beautiful Gloss Black Base Paint Job with Metallic Red Scallop Accents & White Pin-Striping is in great condition! I'm definitely a fan! The under carriage of the frame has some very light scrapes from entering a driveway. I encounter this on almost every Big Dog Motorcycle that I acquire because the motorcycles sit so low to the ground. The front fender is in great shape with one small pin tip sized chip on the rear side of the front fender. The gas tank is in good shape with the exception of one light 1/2" sized hairline scratch midway through the tank on the top right side. There are also some light hairline scratches where the gas tank meets up with the front of the seat. The rear fender has some light surface scratching from having a two up seat installed at some time & point. The most notable is a series of three 1/2" sized hairline scratches next to the right sissy bar strut plug. There are some light surface scratches throughout the bike from being dusted off with a dust cloth. Overall the paint is in great condition! A few of the engine bolts have some light rust stains from getting moisture on them & not being immediately wiped off. The chrome on the outside front forks has about three 1/2" gouges on the left & right fork. The front fork bolt on brace that connects the left & right fork has some light pitting & can be replaced rather easily. The chrome on the front foot forward controls & pegs have some light pit marks. The rear passenger peg mounts & pegs have some light blemishes in the chrome with some light pit marks. The rear drive pulley has some light pit marks & scratching in the chrome.The rear wheel has some light pitting on the inner edges by the spokes of the wheel. Very hard to notice, unless you are looking at it closely. The pitting isn't terrible, but I want to disclose as much as possible. I would also be more than happy to email you close up photos of the affected areas. The SuperTrapp Exhaust System is in good shape with some light surface scratches from getting on & off of the bike. The front Avon tire has approximately 50% of tread remaining with some weather cracking on the tire. The rear Avon tire has approximately 50% tread remaining. The bike comes with one key. I am most likely over describing the bike, but want to make sure that I disclose as much as possible. The bike runs great and is an absolute blast to ride! You won't be disappointed! My 2007 K9 Softail has been my baby. It is beautiful and has been extremely well taken care of. It is a beautiful Red w/orange/red flames. Ordered custom from Big Dog. I am the 2nd owner and bought the bike from a gentleman in Park City Utah. (His wife didn't like him riding) The bike has 12,000 miles all but 1,500 by me. It has never been damaged - not a scratch. These miles have been nice highway miles and the bike being a softail rides perfect. I am an older gent and developed some health issues and cannot ride anymore. Added features includes nice tinted 14" wind shield, padded BDs-bar w/ luggage rack, second up-seat (bike has never been ridden double) cruise, extended foot rests, luggage, and BDK9 cover. I serviced it every 800 miles following all dealer recommended servicing. All servicing has been done by a prior Big Dog dealer. The bike has always been parked in my garage, never outside. The Headlight Rim on the left side has a blemish in the chrome & is slightly bent. I didn't feel it was necessary to replace, but this could be done for around $250. This is highlighted in the included video. There is a blemish/cracking paint on the right side of the front fender as shown in the video & is approximately 1/4" in diameter. This could easily be repaired at a body shop for roughly $150. There is also about 6-7 light scuff marks on the lower right side of the front fender. The rear fender has some light suction cup scuff marks from a pillion pad being applied at some time & point. The gas tank has a light scuff mark at the front top part of the tank measuring roughly 3/4". There are some light surface scratches throughout the bike from dusting off the bike with a dust cloth. Overall the paint is in good condition. The polished billet on the pegs & wheels are in good shape, but could use a little bit of polishing to look near perfect. The front rim on the right side has some scuffing on the outer edge. It appears that something may have gotten caught between the fender & wheel during a ride to cause this. The front & rear rider pegs could use some light polishing, but overall are in really good shape. The Vance & Hines Lower Heat Shield has been scraped from leaning while turning the bike. The billet on the license plate holder has a scratch that is roughly 1/4" long. The front & rear tires have approximately 25% of tread remaining. The bike comes with one original Factory Big Dog key. I am most likely over describing the bike, but want to make sure that I disclose as much as possible. The bike runs perfect and is an absolute blast to ride! You won't be disappointed! 2006 Big Dog Motorcycles K9 , 2006 Big Dog Motorcycles K9 ,BEAUTIFUL Bike!!! It has been in our dealership showroom and now it is time to get change it out. Garaged entire life. New computer system installed by addictive Behavior. 117cc 6 Speed It has a Dakota Low Jack system, lot's of Chrome, Fat Tire in rear, custom Seat and to much to list. Quite the looker. Hate to sell. $12,700.00 The K-9 continues to be the flagship of the Big Dog fleet. In its third year in production, the nine-foot-long chopper shares much in common with its sibling the Ridgeback. Its frame has the same stretch, the rake angle has the same ridiculous 39 degree setting, and the forks are a sick 12 inches oversized. The one-piece steel tank design is a constant denominator between the two as is the 24.25-inch seat height. But the K-9 has something the Ridgeback doesn't. Rear suspension. The hidden shock is adjustable for loads but maintains its custom appeal by not raising the rear fender away from the tire. It's also pre-wired to accept an aftermarket air ride suspension, a common feature in custom show bikes this year. The chopper's A-Frame swingarm houses a 300mm rear tire, not quite the girth of the Ridgeback's but still plenty of rubber to lay down on the road. And while all Ridgebacks run a Super G Carb, K-9 owners have the choice of EFI or carburetion. Overall, you won't find a more classic-looking chopper than the K-9, though 300mm rears are definitely a touch of the new-school of styling. Big Dog Motorcycles hasn't been in the biz for 14 years by not being smart. Making bikes more people can afford and establishing a novice-level ride are moves in the right direction to staying afloat in an industry where more vessels sink than swim. The Wichita company is also in the process of establishing a Dealer Support Center to provide the sellers of its bikes an avenue for hands-on technical and service training. Along with its revised Technician Education Program, these new Big Dog techs and reps are going to be an educated lot that will work to the benefit of consumers. The under carriage of the frame has some minor scrapes from entering a driveway which I have seen on nearly every Big Dog Motorcycle that I have acquired. The front fender has a chip in the paint on the right side which is roughly 1/4" in diameter that has been touched up. It also has a scrape in the paint on the same (right) side on the bottom edge roughly 2" long that has been touched up as well. There is also a minor scratch about 1/8" long on the top side of the front fender. The rear fender has some light surface scratches from dust getting under a cloth while being wiped down. Most of this should buff out. The polished billet through out the bike is in great shape & will only require a minor buffing to look perfect. The front rider pegs are a tiny bit oxidized, but should clean up just fine. This is shown in the included video clip of the bike. The bike has clearly been taken care of over the course of its life. Both tires are in great shape & have roughly 75% tread remaining. Just want to make sure I disclose as much as possible. Bike comes with two factory Big Dog Motorcycle keys. The under carriage of the frame has some minor scrapes from entering a driveway. The front of the frame behind the front fender has some noticable rock chips as shown in the video. The bike has a few blemishes on the rear fender from the two up BDM seat suction cups being applied. There is also one blemish on the right side of the rear fender from a sissy bar rubbing on the paint right by the insert area of the sissy bar ready strut. There is also a spot where the paint has been compromised from the seat. This is shown in the video & is under the front passenger of the seat. This will be covered regardless if a solo or two up seat is applied. The front fender has a chip that extends into a scratch on the rear portion of fender that is roughly 2" long. The Vance & Hines heat shields have some boot burns & scrapes. The polished billet on the rims are in pretty good shape, but could use some polishing/elbow grease to look perfect.
