This is a true vocation of Aprilia, which was the first manufacturer to adopt the Ride By Wire system as standard. The electronic throttle allows the power of the engine to be used to the maximum while reducing fuel consumption and eliminating the classic problems associated with a normal twist grip such as lack of smoothness when opening/closing the throttle. The RbW system also allows different power delivery settings to be selected through its multi-map technology. Aprilia is the first motorcycle manufacturer to have patented its highly developed aPRC dynamic control system which still today is the only one with the exclusive self-calibration and wheelie control features.

This is the final year of the original Mille and the only year with the updated tail section. This is an Original "R" model with all of the now rare and expensive factory upgradeds. This bike is literally worth more just in used "R" parts than what I'm asking for the bike. This includes the hydroforged billet aluminum OZ wheels, the gold nitride coated Ohlin suspension system, Ohlin steering damper, brembo braking system, and loads of carbon fiber. The previous owner was a Ducati specialist and Aprilia enthusiasts who tastefully did all of the most important desirable modifications that knowledgeable owners end up wanting with these bikes. The air box has had the restricor plate removed, the exhaust is the very desirable factory track only titanium full system with the sound baffles removed. The ram air snorkels have been de restricted. And it has a power commander wired in. It's the best sound i have yet to hear from a V twin sport bike. It is wired with a power input port tucked under the tail fairing for a battery tender that i will include. The bike is in great running order and very. Reliable. There is some light body damage that occurred in a spill i had several years ago over a loose dirty serface i came across on a sweeping corner. This Mille R runs great, but the cosmetic shortcomings are greatly reflected in the price. I have an interest in upgrading my daily commuter car and I'm motivated to sell my bike for less than the current market value of used Mille R parts being sold online from owners who strip and sell these bikes in pieces for profit. I rather sell it whole to someone who wants to ride.

Thanks to the experience acquired in the most selective speed championships such as WSBK and MotoGP, Aprilia is able to transfer technologies to their factory products like the new full Ride-by-wire throttle and the dynamic controls package, APRC, further advanced. Aprilia RSV4 RF earns new and more sophisticated suspension systems with fine adjustments both in hydraulics and spring preload: the fork is a latest generation Öhlins NIX unit, as is the TTX shock absorber; the latter is operated by new progressive linkage that increases the reaction time of the shock absorber itself. There is also an adjustable steering damper, also supplied by Öhlins. On the new RSV4, Aprilia introduces important changes in the Brembo braking system: the front relies on a pair of new 5 mm thick steel discs with diameter increased to 330 mm, gripped by the monobloc M50 callipers fitted with new superior friction coefficient brake pads.

In great shape, literally kept in my living room. 6600 miles on it and taken care of well. Honestly have no time to ride it and it just sits around. I get out on it once a week really just for a cruise or I take it to work but with traffic in the area its more of a hassle for me. Looking for a reasonable offer, if not I'll just hang on to it because I do love it. It's nice being the only one in the area! Take your chance on owning a bike that is definitely different than the rest. People commonly mistake it for a 600 because of its small stature but realize their mistake when they hear it. The british Austin Racing exhaust isn't common and produces a fine sound that is commented on frequently. Hopefully she finds a good home, if not she will stay right where she is.
