2008 Ducati 1098 S, Must See Bike!!! The Ducati 1098 is a "Super Sport" bike made by Ducati.This is the 1098S model. The 1098 shares design elements with the 998. Items such as horizontally placed headlights and a non-integrated exhaust system are in common. Another carryover from its 916/998 heritage is the single-sided swingarm. Nice Touch!! This is a return to a more traditional Ducati design that has been welcomed by many Ducati fans who criticized the design of the 999. The 1098 was designed by Ducati designer, Giandrea Fabbro. With the release of the 1098, Ducati created a stir not only with road riders, but also in the racing world, specifically the Superbike World Championship. At the heart of the 1098 is the Desmodromic 8-valve L-Twin, which makes more torque and more horsepower than the $30,000 999R that was tested for the Smackdown II in 05. This one has been set up with a billet "Slipper' clutch, and aftermarket carbon pipes, it sounds sweet!!! This is a MUST SEE BIKE!!!!

The details for the 2007 Ducati Sport Classic 1000 are as follows.I purchased the bike in Colorado in late 2015 and I had it shipped to Iowa from there. I had family that is out there inspect it for me prior to purchase. It has a clean and clear title. The bike currently has 6502 miles. It is a biposto (two seater) the rear painted tail piece is removable by 4 screws. The following is what I've done to the bike since I've owned it.On 10/05/15 I paid Moto Sports Ducati out of Des Moines, IA to repair the bike because a clamp came loose that holds the fuel line to the fuel filter and the bike wasn't getting fuel. At that time I also did a few other things. New rear tire (what it had when new) and tube (just ordered them then and had them installed in the spring. New cam belt, Fuel filter, Motul 300V oil, and a new kickstand bolt. This trip was $904.83.On 10/22/2015 I purchased some Rizoma Parts from BMW Motorcycles of Iowa City. Rizoma Sport grips (anodized aluminum in black) $58.90. Rizoma timing belt cover (which has a clear lense so you can see the cam belts move) $325.85. Rizoma bar end mirrors 294.50. Rizoma bar end mirror adapters $19. This run of accessories cost $740.16On 03/12/16 I took it to Moto Sports Ducati again. This time I got a spare key since it didn't come with one. A new thermostat switch. Installed the rear tire for $260.65The Fleda LED tail light kit that the bike has on it is a $399.00 tail light/ fender eliminator kit. Same as the one on the movie Tron Legacy. This was on the bike when I purchased it.Most recently I got a full one off Titanium exhaust made by Randy Martin at StradaFab. The exhaust took 8 months or longer to get. It also has a carbon fiber muffler. There are few options out there for exhaust since the bike was only made for 3 years. Randy hand welded every bend on the exhaust. For now I took the old 02 sensor out of the old exhaust and zip tied it up since it wouldn't fit the new exhaust. I was going to get an adapter or an 02 delete kit. Randy said he would make the exhaust fit the factory 02 sensor if I shipped the piece of exhaust to him if I needed him to. Strada Fab exhaust cost $2,200The engine light will pop on periodically due to the aftermarket exhaust and the 02 censor being disconnected from the exhaust. Most of the time it stays off though and I notice no difference in response or performance.I took the bar end mirrors off and have them capped with rizoma caps.Let me know if you want any more details or have any questions about the bike.
