2006 Honda Vtx 1300, 2006 Honda VTX This is a really nice bike but I don't have time to ride anymore since having a child. I put a lot of time and work into this bike. It rides great and has handles really well. A lot of care was taken to get the looks I wanted and yet maintian the quality of the ride. I went through multiple seats, rear shocks etc before finding the combination I was happy with. The rear shocks are the third kind of shock used before I was happy with the ride quality as well as the appearance. The following is a list of all the modifications made to this bike. Kewlmetal 45 degree rake kit, Forward control extensions, Low profile custom seat with flames, Low profile turn signals, Side mount licence plate holder with brake light, Diamond cut Grips, Wideblade chrome levers, Chrome brake reservior and cap, Fork extensions, Chrome dipstick, Radiator cover painted and chromed, 240 rear end, Custom Wheels and matching brake rotors Custom Fenders, Custom Paint, Custom gas tank with speedo removed and flush mount gas cap installed, Custom speedometer housing mounted on handlebars, Custom Progressive rear shocks (maintains ride quality while being lowered), Chrome final Drive, Chrome front lower forks, Integrated brake and turn lights in rear fender, Exhaust is from Mortons and is very attractive and sounds great. I will say the exhaust is pretty loud. The Kewlmetal rake kit is the most noticable thing about the bike in my opinion. For those who may not know a lot about bikes the rake is more or less the angle of the front forks. This kit make the front have a more dramatic angle making it longer and more aggressive looking. The kit also has much larger forks which give it a very musclular appearance. I chose the kit over having it done at a custom shop because of the research done by Kewlmetal insuring that the geometry would be correct and maintain a nice ride. Changing the rake and trail numbers on a bike can make a bike very hard to turn or unstable when going straight. This bike due to the kit is both stable and corners well. I also added the forward control extensions. $6,000.00
