We’ve given our quarter-liter wonder some serious upgrades for 2011 and it likes to win. Because there’s a new 94 dB exhaust rule this year, we gave the CRF250R a new muffler. But we also gave it a new ECU settings which, combined with the exhaust, gives you more usable power, especially in the midrange. It’s a win-win situation: A quieter bike and one that’s even easier to ride. Like the CFR450R, we also gave the CRF250R a new Honda Progressive Steering Damper (HPSD) with a new, bigger 24 mm piston. That gives you more damping when you need it, but still remains as transparent as ever when you don’t. Better handling, better balance, better tracking, especially at the limits of performance: the new 2011 CRF250R has it all.
2012 Honda CRF250R, CALL KYLE 859 253-0322 - A Champion Gets Even Better. Of all the classes in motocross, the 250s are one of the toughest. And Honda’s CRF250R is the best—better than ever, in fact, with some great new updates for 2012. Taking a cue from our revised CRF450R, we’ve changed the rear shock linkage so you get a softer start and a stiffer finish. It responds to small bumps better, but still resists bottoming over really big hits. Fine-tuning the rear travel helps with steering during hard braking and on long, fast downhill sections. New suspension settings front and rear keep the balance right and increase steering precision. In addition, the CRF250R gets a new cylinder head and new camshaft, and new throttle body, airbox and intake boot, all designed to give you more user-friendly power. And finally we’ve even given the 2012 CRF250R wider, longer footpegs for better grip and comfort and fitted it with premium Dunlop MX51 tires for superior traction in corners and under acceleration.
