The 2004 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 is one the most dependable and reliable motorcycles ever produced . The ride quality is fantastic and the maintenance and upkeep are minimal . The heart of the VT 1100 C is liquid - cooled 1099 cc V -Twin . The engineers at Honda decided to eliminate most of the vibration associated with a v-twin motor by using a twin - pin crankshaft to balance out and reduce the shake . Also with things like hydraulic valve adjusters ( no valve adjustments ) , a drive shaft reduce the maintenance to oil changes , changing 4 spark plugs in the dual plug heads and a spin off oil filter . Not much to do here but ride it . Cast aluminum wheels mean you can tubeless tires and just hose off the wheels and go . A nice long wheelbase provides a good ride for oneor two up riding . This 2004 Shadow Spirit 1100 has some nice accessories too and the perforance pipes have been jetted properly too . This bike only has 15,000 miles on it and has been taken care of . These big Shadows make great commuters and really nice long distance touring bikes as well and a whole lot of bike for only $ 3500.00 .
