When it comes to summing up the YZ250’s superiority, it’s hard to pinpoint this two-stroke missile’s greatest strength. It’s that good at everything. Both Cycle News and Motocross Action thought so, awarding the 2001 YZ "250 of the Year" honors, making that two straight crowning seasons from the latter publication. In the bar-banging world of motocross, however, being the best is never good enough. So that’s why we’ve retooled the YZ250 for 2002.
