Yamaha didn't make many changes to these bikes through their run from 99-13. The later models had a real cushy pillow top seat which I put on this bike. It’s so comfortable on the freeway. 5th gear is an overdrive so the RPMs are nice and low when at freeway speeds. The engine has so much power that it will still get up and go when in 5th, but if you downshift it really comes alive! At this point I have too many bikes and use this one the least.
