1978 Yamaha DT400, restored 1978 DT400 was yellow now custom color with new plastics and tank, all painted with professional paint basecoat /clear coat....EVERYTHING WORKS.... Motor & carburetor rebuilt (new main bearings w/ YAMAHA piston and rings and all seals), cables, brakes, all plastics, rubber seals, gaskets, fuel petcock, chain, sprockets, brakes, new Barnett clutch plates/ pressure plates w/ springs...fuel tank is new OEM re-painted and sealed with Kreem...Yamaha. VIN and motor VIN match. 8675 total miles since production date in May 1977... Driven 1340 since re-build... Bike restored as a hobby---not for profit. CLEAR TEXAS 1977 TITLE...BASED ON STATE INSPECTION FROM YAMAHA DEALER. Odometer reflects miles driven since restoration...piston is bored to 3rd over with OEM Yamaha Piston and rings, took 4+ years to get in back to this condition. Parts not OEM Yamaha are seat, decals, left control, front fender and paint color. Seat cover/seat and decals are a reproduction, paint was the color I thought looked the best. Left control upgraded to an aluminum reproduction which is stronger and more durable than the plastic stock unit. Bike was restored to ride and enjoy, so you will see some minor dirt under the fenders and skid plate/frame. Frame was not restored, just touched up a few spots. Back fender is NOT a new part; it's been stripped down and painted, TAILLIGHT assembly is NEW OEM. All plastic parts have professional plastic adhesion promoter before painting base-coat/clear-coat. Bike was manufactured in May of 1977, title is 1977 as the May 1977 VIN date on the bike, however this bike is considered a 1978 model..NEW unmounted brick pattern back tire included. Speedometer and TACH were purchased NEW OEM, new battery installed on March 26 2016. Buyer is responsible to determine what paperwork is required to transfer title to your state. Bike does not come with warranty or returns, I'd recommend a review of the bike in person before final payment. I will work with you on a date to do just that near selling location in TEXAS.
