1980 Honda Custom , A real motorcycle "time-capsule", this 1980 Honda 650Custom runs great and still looks very good. An added bonus is that except for a tank-repaint and 4 into 2 exhaust, it is bone stock and original, with only 13k + miles. The year 1980 was a transition year for the big Honda CBs, a bridge in styling between the 70s Superbikes and the lower-slung and more modern styling of later years. With it's more upright appearance, early Mag wheels and distinctive Honda inline-four sound, it is a definite head turner. At the same time, subtle factory updates like the electronic ignition make it reliable enough for a daily rider. Engine starts easily and pulls smoothly through all 5 gears, and everything works, including all lights and signals. Some recent servicing includes: Carbs cleaned, rebuilt and re-jetted for maximum performance /oil and filter change / new plugs / new battery/ brakes checked and adjusted / a few new bulbs / gas tank cleaned, coated and sealed/ chain lubed and adjusted and more. Tires are good and there is no major rust or pitting - the chrome still shines nicely. Included is a detachable luggage rack (not shown) The only negative issue with the bike are a few small dings on the top of the tank, like something was dropped on it. A $500 deposit is due within 48 hrs. of auction close, with balance due upon acceptance. The bike is located near West Point, Ga - about 1 hour south of Atlanta. Local pick-up only, though delivery within a day's drive may be arranged for the price of gas and a small fee.
