1979 Honda CB650.Cafe racer inspired.Needs rewiring for lights and horn. Front brake needs to be replaced. Might need new battery, but still starts and runs.Good project bike.
I have a 1980 Honda cb650 motorcycle for sale. It runs, starts up cold, has new tires, clear title and is currently registered, no leaks, no compression issues, just had oil change and valves adjusted when engine was resealed. Has a vetter rear trunk with key and the fairing on it has a key. The windshield needs to be replaced as it is cracked but other than that, it is in good shape, 26,290 miles and gets excellent gas mileage. No rust. Body needs cleaning and some TLC, no accidents, no damage, just old and dusty. I am asking $1200 but will take a fair offer.
Selling this beautiful Honda CB650 Cafe Racer. I am not apt at taking good photos, these don't do it justice. I bought the bike last year from the gentleman who built it up. She's an absolute beauty, she runs great and she was always garaged. She's weeping a tiny bit of oil, probably a gasket needs to be replaced. Since I am working so much nowadays I don't get to enjoy her. I have done minor work on the bike: 1. I completely resealed the tank. I did a VERY thorough job removing the old liner and put in THREE layers of sealer. This tank will last a long time. 2. Installed a JW Speaker EVO 2 LED Headlight. This headlight is absolutely incredible 3. Installed a flasher for the brake light and an LED bulb. VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/m5XIpcdRsFA You will not find many Cafe Racers as beautiful as this one. I am not apt at taking good photos, these don't do it justice. True mileage is unknown, just over 1000 miles since rebuild
I got this bike as a project from a friend of a friend who couldn't finish it. It's finally ready and I'm really happy with how it turned out. If you want to see some progress pictures you can check out my instagram @hardrowcustoms or @tanerrx. I'm attempting to start a little business of rebuilding bikes. Fore more pics go to https://austin.craigslist.org/mcy/5775442772.htmlHopefully the pictures will speak for themself but if you have any questions feel free to text or email me. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I work nights so anytime before 5pm is better for me. I'm asking $3,000 OBO. If you don't think it's worth that much, let me know why and we can talk more about it. Bike runs well though.I went through and disassembled, cleaned, and lubed everything on the bike that I could. The bike also has the following.-New tires-NOS highway pegs-Cut off exhaust-Cleaned and rejetted carburetors-Pod air filters-New Chain-Fresh oil and brake fluid-New handlebars, levers, and grips-New master cylinder-New charging system (Stator, Rotor, and Regulator/Rectifier)-New lithium ion battery-LEDs in taillight and gauges-New headlight wiring that is more efficient-No turn signals (I lift the wiring if you want to hook some back up)-Voltage gauge-On/Off toggle for the headlight-Harley Sportster rear shocks-New seat (Yes, it's metal)-New paint (Not professional, so you can't pressure wash the bike to clean it or you'll strip it all off)-Some new cables, gaskets, filters, and little stuff like that where they were needed
Awesome condition. Clean title. Service records kept since 1980. Needs nothing! 20,000 miles. Comes with sissy-bar/luggage rack. Has new tires, new seat, gas tank sealed from leaks, valves adjusted, brand new battery, new cam chain, ect..... $2,000 obo.
1981 Honda CB650 Bought at dealer, put new carburetors and new tires on it. Professional Engine rebuild, and was running great this Spring, but won’t start currently. Possibly a blown head-gasket. Only motorcycle rider in our family left for college and the boss wants it out of the garage.
This is a 1981 Honda cb650 custom. It has new tires front and back a new chain and front sprocket, new K&N air filters, new spark plugs, and new clutch kit all just installed 450 miles ago. The bike is in great running and driving condition. It has the 650cc inline four cylinder motor with four into one exhaust. It has a new Saddleman double seat that gives comfort for driver and passenger on those longer trips. Most people strip these bikes into cafe racers Bc most of these are in rough shape when they find them but this one is in good enough shape to just keep as a cruising bike for around town or whatever. But it would also be an awesome starter bike for a cafe racer for someone who didn't want to have to completely rebuild a bike too. The left side of the tank does have a dent in it though but no paint peeling off or flaking off. I also have some extra parts to go with the bike.
This bike was my dad's. He was buying parts to restore this Honda CB650 frame, shocks, and engine. Engine Serial Number RC03E - 2225587. I called a local Honda dealer to find out this is a CB650 engine...the frame likely matches. VIN on the frame RC0502BM205801 (CB650 from 1981 or 1982). You rebuild or want to put together a classic bike. You don't mind coming to the south Austin area to pick these parts up (no shipping as this frame and engine are heavy).
1982 Honda CB650 for sale. This bike is 99.9% stock parts. Great for a cafe project, restoration, or tear down! I've ridden her for 3 years, never been downed, all work was professionally done by 515 Moto and Deer Park Cycles here in Maryland. The Good:Mechanically sound engine Stock parts. Well maintained Recently re-upholstered the seat. Recently performed basic maintenance. Recently flushed the brake lines. Loud Fun Fast The Bad: Carb assembly needs something, right now it's starving for fuel at high rpms. She needs new carbs to run perfect, but everything else on the bike is in great shape. You can call Jack at Deer Park Cycles (a well respected vintage mechanic) and he'll tell you the same. This bike is perfect for someone who is a lot more mechanically inclined then I am--she'll run amazing if you put a little work in. If not, she's worth a lot in parts.
This bike is in excellent condition and it has been restored to as stock as possible . It runs incredible for a bike of this vintage. I ride it all the time back and forth to work because like all Honda's it is dependable! A lot of extras included in the price : Engine Guard, Saddle Man bag, A full fairing windshield including all assembly parts to attach it. Also have a new set of grips have not installed yet will be included. I have records of all the work done on her, no oil leaks dry as a bone for an old girl. All the essential repairs and work all completed tires , chain etc..
This is a classic bike that's been kept in great condition for being 37 years old. The years show but it still runs great. Starts up every time, runs beautifully, and *just* got new tires. The problem this bike has is electrical and I unfortunately don't know a **** thing about that. You will need to put this bike on a charger each night because the stator/rotor/RR has some issue. It would not be expensive or difficult to fix if you know something about electrics. With this bike, I will include the Haynes manual, the battery charger I've been using, and my jacket and helmet (if you want 'em). This is a beautiful bike that I learned to ride on and I'm really gonna miss it. Serious inquiries only!
