1979 Triumph 750 Bonneville:-Changed stock clutch to L.P. Williams Triumph Racing Clutch three months ago (wow! what a difference, extremely smooth.) Clutch plates, disc, and housing replaced. This clutch dose not drag and has a light trigger pull with a super positive engagement. -Avon Tires- are about eight years old with less then six hundred miles on them.-Rebuilt Carburetors six months ago. The bike was not ridden for seven years, just started every once in a while. Fuel lines were also replaced. Oil, gear lube, and plugs changed 3 months ago. The bike was not ridden for seven years, just started every once in a while. Intake and exhaust valves adjusted at the same time.-Custom paint job was done over factory tank paint, and was air brushed. And then clear coated. (see pics)Sorry this is not a matching #s bike. You can see by the pictures I have a shot of the side case where the serial number should be.Whats there is just the triumph stamps. I asked Bob At Rabers Triumph shop what he thought about that. Bob said at some point the case had been replaced maybe because it spun a berring. Case halfs match well so this means that they were both replaced. So its not that it dosen't match, the engine has no number.I have no idea how many miles are on the bike as the speedometer was not working when I got it.(The speedo cable vibrated loose from gauge).I don,t think it has to many miles on it as it is a nonrestored bike that has been well maintained and is in very very good condition.(Just look at pics)This bike is in great mechanical condition and ready to ride for a long time!!! I have all parts to put bike back to stock. (see pics)The wiring harness has not been cut.The frame has no holes drilled in it nor has it been cut or alter.I also have a pair of short pipes if you want to make some noise. (see pics)Also a pair of amal carbs and side cases.Work needed; Could use fork seals and dust covers. Will accept paypal.

This low mileage 750cc Triumph 5 speed is a Texas barn find that comes with complete documentation including : clear Texas title, original dealer bill of sale from Wilson's Motorcycles in Odessa, original Triumph registration slip, original yellow tag that was on the ignition key in the showroom, original Triumph warranty papers, original owners handbook and original tool kit , extra ignition key, fork lock and seat keys. This Triumph hasn't been on the road since 2009. It had not been started for a year when I looked at it-but started on the first kick. It still starts first kick, idles at 500 rpm, runs smartly up through the gears and sounds like a Triumph should. This is the left hand shift, front and rear disc brake, oil in the frame model. it is extremely easy to pop up on the center stand. The inside of the gas tank appears as new with no rustThe float bowls were cleaned and new fuel lines were installedNew clutch plates from the Bonneville Shop were installed as the old ones were hardened and stuck togetherThe front and rear master cylinders were replaced with stainless cylinders from the Bonneville Shop along with new brake linesThe tires are Dunlop Road Master TT100's and appear original. They have minor age cracking The seat is in excellent shapeChrome on the fenders, headlight and turn signal stalks is excellentRear wheel chrome has some minor rust spots from gravel dingsFront wheel chrome is very goodChain was cleaned and re-oiledGas tank paint is very good for age. Blue paint is very good/the white section has some very fine checkingGas tank badges are excellentSide cover paint is presentable but somewhat fadedFrame paint is goodEverything works including original turn signalsFluids changed, filter cleaned, filled with Valvoline 20-50The battery holds a constant chargeAll parts that were replaced will come with the motorycleThis Triumph would make an excellent, well documented restoration project or a fantastic cafe bike. Beautiful 1979 T140E. Dark Metalic Emerald Green and Metalic Silver with Gold pinstripes. Gorgeous paint. Bike in excellent condition. My dad bought this bike in the mid 80's and did the top end. It had about 2800 miles on the odometer. I bought it from him so he could finish a 1969 project in 1996 and it had 3500 miles on it. I had the paint done and put the baloney exhaust on it. I sold it in 1997 with 3800 miles on it. Well I ran across it last year and bought it back. It had sat for about 13-14 years. The odometer had 3958 miles on it. ???? I've ridden it at least once a week in rotation with my others during summer. She now shows 5993 miles. ( May end up with a few more if buy it now isn't hit by Tuesday). I currently have 4 bikes and a daughter heading to college this year, so something has to go. This bike starts first kick (I just pulled it out after sitting all winter to take these pictures, and gave her a kick and she stated right up). All gauges and lights work. Put Progressive fork springs and fork seals in this winter. New Dunlap K81s. New front brake pads. Oil changed. This 36 year old is great. As always vehicles sold as is. Buyer responsible for pick up or shipping. I'll accomodate shipper as much as possible. Accept cash or check (check must clear and be in my bank before delivery of bike and title or PayPal.
